Found the ID for the Lily. Had to search back to 2007 invoices..but worth it as I may buy more.
These are Lily Monte Negro
Lilies: 2009 Blooms #4
I'm always so jealous. Ticker you always get blooms so far a head of me ;) 'Tiny Sensation' is unique, I think to the tango types because the splotching really is redder, not brown, don't you think? It looks great. And they bloom early.
I have a couple that are close. Kind of like waiting for a pot to boil while watching it.
I live vicariously through you all for now.
Gemini yes the poppies are perennial. If anyone wants seeds I will have plenty because they will take over my sungarden if I don't pick them. Let me know. BEV
Menora!! That's what I have blooming out back! It's such a lovely lily and yours, Jmorth, looks exceptionally happy. :)
I do like that Treffler. :)
Wow Neal, what a fantastic show! I especially like the shot with the fence and the lilies on one side and your annuals/perennials on the other. Are those Cosmos you have coming up there? Talk about vigorous - mine grow through cracks in the pavement even.
Jmorth, as usual, what an impressive Asiatic display :-)
Not much new here - here is "Apricot", a trumpet.
Thanks, Steve! Yep, those are white Cosmos that have reseeded. They have been vigorous there! I've never had them reseed so prolifically. I'm particularly pleased to see that area looking good since it got dug into with the backhoe last fall- we discovered I'd put that garden right on top of the septic tank!
Love that 'Apricot'! I recognize that buggycrazy beauty :-)
pard, I love the Brodiaea under the Lilies!
I love all the ideas here for underplanting lilies. Never thought of poppies or the Brodiaea. I am finding that bleeding hearts work well under the taller ones because here the foliage goes dormant by early summer, so the lilies still get plenty of sunlight. Most of my lilies are just mixed in with my Iris and daylilies. Love the salsa part of your garden gemini_sage. and your Apricot is lovely Steve. Can't wait until I get home from work and see what's opened up today. I have 2 or 3 that will be open soon.

WOW Susan ~ what kind of poppy is that? It's gorgeous, and I hope it reseeds for you.
Beautiful and ditto what Moby said.
The seeds were just called Lavender heirloom. They do reseed. This one is the only one that got to grow because I used Preen in all the flower beds, but it was smart and reseeded itself in a pathway. Tnink I may let it reseed in one b ed nest year because I love it too. Will save some seeds.
I've got lavendar peony flowered poppies, but no singles. Last night I had to stake one of them up; it's so heavy with buds it was laying on the ground!
Catching up here today after several days away.... far too much to comment on, except to say Wow. So so lovely, everyone. My martagons are opening up, but that's it. Most everything else still has a long way to go. Love that I can get my fill here....
Now...to be patient and wait for more bloom ;)
That's the hardest part! :) but when all of your lilies are blooming it's a sight to behold! ;)
Mags--it looks like a lily field to me. It will be beautiful when it's all in bloom.
magnolialover - Love that picture of all those lilies. I thought I had lots planted together but you beat me hands done. What I show coming up when they all bloom.
Wow, Tracey, what a vision.
Newyorkrita, your lilies look like they are about to do the can can.
Love that 'Valley Girl' Mags!
