Lilies: 2009 Blooms #4

Plum Peach is indeed a beauty of rare vintage. I grew it last year in a pot but forgot to transplant it.

On the subject of 'peach'...here's Pendent Peach.

Plum Peach does have a lot going on--very nice; and Royal Perfume is a beauty too.

jmorth, I can't find any information on Pendant Peach. Is it a Martagon? I am beginning to appreciate the pendant ones more, the more I see photos of them.

Ooohh, love those Champaign and Plum Peach!

These red Asiatics were looking pretty with rain drops this morning.

LA hybrid 'Suncrest' is tall and sturdy this year.

I've enjoyed them in this grouping of mixed shades of yellow.

'Dazzle' and 'Centerfold' at the front of this shot.

'Centerfold' is growing through a cloud of white hardy geraniums and blue and white Nigella. I'm finding I really like Lilies emerging through a dainty of cloud of lacy leaves and blooms.

Dazzle shines against the background of blue spruce.

gemini_sage, you have one of the most beautiful gardens on DG. The Dazzle and Centerfold are perfect in front of that blue spruce.

Btw, why are tiger lilies called that? Don't tigers have stripes, not spots???

wickerparker, I always wondered the same thing, they should be called Leopard Lilies.

Love the blue spruce in the background and the different shades of yellow is wonderful!!

Before we move on to a new thread -- I want a hodgepodge butterfly garden, and a sky garden.... for starters. I agree, gemini -- your gardens are a joy to behold.

Mr. _Sage how much land do you have? I will be bidding on 2.5 acres in about 30 minutes Eeeek. Just couldn't find more that wasn't close to a highway, or giant windmills, or power lines...
That should give me a little room to stretch my lily growing.

My lilies are only just starting. I think this is a pumilum, but thought it was supposed to be red, not orange.
