The striking Green-spotted Triangle also goes by the name "Tailed Jay". It flies in Australia, New Zealand and Southern Asia.
The larval host is of the Annonaceae.
They rarely sit with wings open, and that is to bask in the sun or flitting while nectaring or courting.

This Green spotted Triangle butterfly is difficult to photograph due to it's green color. Just the right amount of available light allows the green color to show. Too much light or flash doesn't allow the true green (as in this picture) to show up.
This butterfly appeared in a shot of another butterfly. To show this butterfly alone I had to zoom in.
