I'm making the regional forums circuit to let folks know about our new feature here: http://davesgarden.com/go/
One of the important differences that will distinguish this feature from other general "trip advisor" or "yellow pages" sites is the input from each of us as gardeners.
Please add your feedback for the businesses you've patronized and the public gardens and parks you have visited. It helps other gardeners and the business or organization.
For smaller businesses and organizations, this type of "word of mouth" is their only form of advertising. And for businesses of any size, unsolicited testimonials are priceless - they can't buy that type of good will.
Here are the PNW state listings so far:
BC: http://davesgarden.com/go/advanced.php?state=bc
AK: http://davesgarden.com/go/advanced.php?state=ak
WA: http://davesgarden.com/go/advanced.php?state=wa
OR: http://davesgarden.com/go/advanced.php?state=or
ID: http://davesgarden.com/go/advanced.php?state=id
CA: http://davesgarden.com/go/advanced.php?state=ca
NV: http://davesgarden.com/go/advanced.php?state=nv
MT: http://davesgarden.com/go/advanced.php?state=mt
WY: http://davesgarden.com/go/advanced.php?state=wy
You can narrow these down to a particular category (garden center/nursery, or public gardens, etc.) You can also plug in your ZIP and specify a radius (especially helpful if you live near the state line and want to see everything in your immediate area.)
If your favorite nursery or park/garden isn't listed yet, let us know and we'll add it, or start the entry and add what you know (we'll fill in the blanks.)
Let's go gardening!
Dave
How can my business be added?

Dee, I added you. ^_^ I put you under Garden Centers and Nurseries...that was the best choice I saw. If you want to be under something else, I'm sure it can be changed.

Thank you:)
How is it going with working?

You have dmail.
This is a great! Always looking for a new nursery. I want to post My Garden Nursery in Lynnwood. I just found it and they have about 40+ different kinds of heuchera.
Terry,
GREAT feature! I just found "Bambu-u" near me.
Would you add this place? It's a wholesale-scale supplier for nurseries, greenhouses, farmers and gardeners, but it also has a retail desk. It's only open weekdays plus Saturday-until-Noon.
Steuber Distributing Co

It has a huge number of pots, planters and propagation trays, and you can buy onesies without paying through the nose.
It also has a lot of irrigation supplies including the best prices I could find on 3/4" polyethylene mainline and John Deere "Spot Spitters". MUCH wider selection than Home Depot or Lowe's for min-jet sprayers.
I never found an online catalog, but their 144-page paper catalog is free if you can get there while they're open. It looks like a website is under construction.
No plants, just nursery-garden-greenhouse-garden supplies.

Where is this? Google cannot find it.

I bet they didn't make it through the Great Recession. So many wonderful businesses lost...
Steuber Distributing is still there. I always also go to the McDaniel's Do-It Hardware store a block away. They have a tiny little plant section, that sometimes has very interesting things. And they have a deeply discounted sale rack, always worth checking!
My Garden Nursery moved to Bellingham. Here is the link to their website: http://www.mygardennursery.com/home
Is this the old Bakerview Nursery site?
It sure is. You can't miss it; the whole place is now painted purple. LOL
My Garden Nursery tried to get a site on the Guide Meridian near Walmarts but there were issues with wetlands and I think they spent a year or maybe two and a lot of money working with the city and getting nowhere. Finally they bought the Bakerview Nursery site and opened in April of 2015 if I remember correctly.
They sound wonderful. I will have to go check 'em out. Of course, I won't buy anything (hahahaha).
As long as you are in the neighborhood, check out The Garden Spot http://www.garden-spot.com/ and Van Wingerden http://www.vwhomeandgarden.com/ for more fun shopping.
I have dropped many a $$ at Garden Spot! It's a great place. I haven't been to Van Wingerden yet, though. I'll add it to the list. Thanks!
