I put the plant in the ground some...Read More time in May, and it bloomed through October; it seems to be "done" now, and I am watching the hips. The plant grew well, remaining below 3 feet in height, but throwing some long, slightly arching stems that make a pleasing open shape in my small garden space. The first blooms were bleached, but eventually I got the pretty golden cups that smell wonderful. The plant has not gone through a winter yet, but the foliage has so far been vigorous and healthy. The blooms fade within a few days but the shrub is well-named, because the golden cups do bring to mind the color and form of champagne bubbles. So far, so good.
