They self sow and can easily be moved to an new place if needed. Most of mine seem to prefer filtered sun, it is where they reseed the most, but I have moved them to full sun locations with success. I gave some to my neighbor many moons ago and they never did a thing except irrigation system twice a week and that little plant has turned into a huge cluster in full sun. I posted a picture of them. They do well in full sun or deep shade. We have actually been in a drought for a few months now and they still pop out many flowers...so it doesn't have to rain, but they do need some watering. But when it does rain, they really pop out a few days afterwards.

I call them my "giggle flowers" because they make me giggle like a six year old. They will volunteer their seeds as well as multiply by the bulbs.
