Likes a fertile well drained soil in sun or partial shade.
I've grown this particular species twice and can vouch for its short life! Dislikes wet roots for any length of time and will show disapproval by promptly dying. Also dislikes full sun in the hottest part of the day and registers disapproval by shrivelling up it's leaves. It now resides in the cold greenhouse over winter due to the rainfall here.
Well worth the effort but save the seeds just in case!
