The ones that I didn't get into the ground prior to our SE Wisconsin winter I just stored in the garage. By March they were already emerging. Today you cannot tell the difference between the ones planted last fall and the ones planted today. Didn't lose a single plant over winter.

Hardy in my zone and blooms both in the sun and shade. In the shade it looks pinker.
