My first photo is of its initial bloom still in a pot, where the heavy cinnamon sprinkling is quite evident. The second photo, taken earlier this year (the first was two years ago) shows it on rebloom, much paler. No way would I call either form "yellow gold" but rather yellow cream. The form is typical Jack Carpenter, very full and lush, and the substance is very good. It has not bloomed at its registered 26" height, but the flowers are indeed 6" across.
You will notice in the larger photo that this daylily is also edged, but it's so subtle that this is only useful to those who are breeding for edges. It isn't all that important in a garden setting.
