NARANJA is a strongly orange self [Wheeler 1947] which immediately endeared itself to me because it is easily visible from more than 100'...Read More away. Its shape is a narrow petaled variably shaped star, with wavy petal edges. The color is saturated and holds very well all day. It and its younger neighbor (Wheeler '54) PLAYBOY are the same orange, but PLAYBOY has a roughed darker band on its petals, and is a bit larger. I don't have parentage on either one, but I suspect that they are related somehow.
