The gooseberries are sweet and flavorful when dark red. A bit tart when just starting to turn red. I am very happy with them and looking forward to bigger crops when they have had more time to get established.
Captivator has a good productivity. The skin of the fruits is thicker than that of other common varieties.

I really liked this variety, much sweeter than the green variety.
It's growing well even confined to a container.
