I planted them on the outer edge of a circular perennial bed alternating them with amarine bulbs. In the early summer, both plants sent up strappy leaves. In early fall, the amarines sent up stems with pink flowers. I thought the nerine plants must be "duds" because there were no flowers and their leaves all but disappeared. Then, suprise! Lovely pink flowers appeared on bare stems. Good experience.

Then, just as winter was starting, one of them sent up a pale flower stalk, but the flowers were small and almost white- not the bright pink the label had promised. They did not last long before the frost did them in. Maybe I'll just move them to another spot this year and hope for better luck.
