The second has made it through two winters now,including the freeze of 07. It bloomed last year with the stalk hanging on for close to two years now.Ornamental,i just leave it. Variable in hardiness to say the least. A matter of luck i guess in picking one out-unless you get a pup from me!

The foliage at first was green with grey velvet covering. As the blooming progressed, it blushed a nice magenta. This particular air plant supposedly likes to be watered only once every two weeks although I watered more frequently being careful not to let water sit in cup too long. Has bloomed most of the summer. I'm still waiting on pups to begin to cultivate.
