I ...Read Moretried Picklebush because a neighbor had some extra seed. I use the hill method digging a hole filling it with well composted manure covering the manure with the excavated soil and growing 3-4 plants in each hill. I grow cukes on a trellis but with this variety a trellis is no longer needed. This is the only cuke I will grow from now on. I usually have an issue with powdery mildew but this plant was not infected until September. The other cukes I planted were infected by late July even with spraying. I am going to try them in containers this year.
