About 40 years ago I opened my dryer to take clothes out but was spooked by a weird hissing sound. Called my mother over (she lived a couple houses away), she found a yard stick to pull clothes out & found one of these in there hissing like crazy while it clung to cloth. She just took it outside & scraped it off. I don't know if it went through the wash before the dry or if it just found it's way into the dryer somehow. Poor thing, I'd be mad too. LOL

Cute lil bugger, love its hiss....eats pine needles. Loves to fly around our yard light after dusk. They have clawed feet for climbing and can be tricky to remove from clothes and hair. They hiss when they feel threatened. I have found them to be rather harmless albeit sometimes startling when you don't expect to be hissed at.
