"Roaring Jelly" is an old slang term for dynamite---not to mention a lively contradance tune, and the name of a local contradance band, both of which, like the iris, are indeed dynamite.
The breeders, Marty Schafer and Jan Sacks, have written:
"A magnificent clump! Falls dappled bright raspberry on pale lavender. Standards paler and lightly dappled. Flowers full, round and slightly recurved. Strong repeat."
Note that with Siberian irises, rebloom means additional flower scapes rise in early summer shortly after the first flush of blooms. Unlike tall bearded irises, there is no fall rebloom.
