Anyhow, that is how most Tulips behave for me, and as much as I love some of the Tulips I have had, these are much prettier. I mentioned on the posted photo, I really thought the flower catalogs were exaggerating the markings. No, they are that pretty! They remind me of looking through a Kaleidoscope. Love Love Love!!!

They all survived temperatures as lo...Read Morew as 28 F on a few nights this Winter, began to bloom several weeks ago (early April), and are still flowering (early May). I hope they will continue to thrive in our borderline Zone 8b/9a hot, humid climate.
Update: 08/21/08 I never saw the plants again after that first blooming. From what I have read about them now, they don't like wet summers and we certainly have those here with almost daily rains, so they probably rotted in the ground. I was just about to order some more until I came here and found my note. I had totally forgotten that I ever tried to grow them! Thanks, Plant Files, for remembering what my brain can't! LOL
