Hosta 'Loyalist'

None of my other hostas has such a dramatic contrast between its center and margin. My little plant has grown slowly and still is somewhat small. Perhaps it will take off next year.

Last fall it bloomed and set seed, which I collected and germinated this spring. Every one of the seedlings came up yellow and I was thrilled- lots of yellow hostas for free!! But they have all turned totally white and without any green in them they are all shrivelling up and dying. It looks like I got totally white hostas from these seeds, but they are not going to survive.
