My land is too well drained, and these plants are in full sun. I should have mixed peat into the soil before planting them to reduce their need for watering. Have been propagating cuttings to make a grove. It's difficult to stop eating these berries, but if you don't control yourself, you will be forced to do sprints to the bathroom.
