I bought this plant (hot pink version/ unnamed) at Home Depot and after having it inside for a...Read More while, planted it outside in the garden when I went on vacation and could not take care of it. It disappeared over the winter, and I thought it died, which would not have been surprising, as it is tropical, but I was very surprised to find it came back this year. It is in a flower bed next to the house that gets some morning sun, in front of my 'Bonanza' Camelia S., which colors it complements.
'My' deer don't seem to like it, which is not surprising as I read somewhere that the sap is poisonous.
I am going to see if I can find more, and in different colors, as it would make a nice replacement for Hosta, which my deer DO like.
