Hosta 'Cathedral Windows'

This hosta is doing very well in my Houston-area garden. It has multiplied well and moved without complaint.

Lovely texturing, waving, and colour patterning. Colour is outstanding, this one a delectable chartreusey-bright apple-lime with deeper green. Gorgeous, and grew unexpectedly to massive proportions in just 1 year. Truly lovely, large round clump form, tidy but graceful, (not severe in appearance, nor are the leaves "hard", they are soft), very cheery indeed! Have to add that last year the chartreuse faded out to a (personally annoying) yellow with the deep green, although we had dreadful heatwaves, and an enduring drought, which has thankfully ended after this past stubborn winter. Winter was a prolonged very bitter one, -19F below zero , with a -38F windchill for a week, a very harsh winter. This hosta not affected (nor my others). But I am hoping that the chartreuse does not fade this later summer, as it is a cooler, moister summer. So far, as of July 19th, colour has remained very bright limey, no hint of yellow. ...watching with a grin now... So as of late July, still very Greeny-green GREENS! I totally love this plant, a real gem. Eyecatching, a terrific focal point, adds visual structure and strength.
