Now a year later, it has tall friendly flowers and I have been combing the plan files to find out what it is. I finally did!
A great survivor, charming flowers... does fine in partial shade though the petals of the flowers will not be as wide as in full sun. I intend on dividing it next year and spreading it around my garden.
