i have come across this type of ants in December 2010. the place is near a fresh water river near Valsad city, Gujarat, India. these ants are very workaholics. they weave very complex type of nest having different kinds of chambers within. it is built nearly two meters high above ground on tree of large sized leaves. the nests are built where it gets shade. the nest is mostly large leaves glued together with some portion of saliva and mud. a single tree may have more than a dozen nests.
