Summer Lilies 2008 Pt. 5

Southern, WI(Zone 5a)

Over my couple years here at DG, lincoln, I recall and admire your 'American Spirit' blooms each year. It just looks so happy at your house ;)

My triumphator is planted near the house and seems to be doing ok. It is only in it's second season though. It even bloomed the first spring with that late horrible freeze we had. It is not on the south side though, so is slightly shaded. Here it is growing among the hollyhocks, my bug candy.

This is my favorite NOID asiatic. Such a sunny yellow color. The pics really don't show how bright this color really is.

Bernie, I agree with Moby; it is Centerfold

Does anyone have an idea on this one from Buggy Crazy; my tag is wrong.

It looks like her Dwarf Gold Band. Is it short?

Gorgeous lilies everyone. More lilies for the want list. :-)

I went crazy in 3 different co-ops this year and now have so many new lilies. A lot of them are blooming now and I have even more getting ready to. It's such a treat to go out into the garden each day.

I'll post some more that have bloomed.

I suppose the best thing about a supplier screw up is that you could end up with something more beautiful than you intended. That really buries 'Cancun', Joy ^_^ Must agree there with Moby.

Kalama, WA(Zone 8b)

Oh wow! Moby. I think you're right. A mislabeled lily I guess?
I think I like it better than Cancun anyway.

Thanks

LOL No problem ~ it's nice to have a 'good' mix-up once in a while. :)

Kalama, WA(Zone 8b)

magnolialover,
I agree. Cancun is common enough I can probably pick it up anywhere. I'm not the least bit disappointed.
A name would be great though. But I can even live with out one with this flower. :-)

Anyone have an idea what it might be?

Joy, your lilies are beauties, but I especially like the Salmon one. Is it an Asiatic?

Lisbon, IA(Zone 5a)

Joy, if you can't stand having that NOID in your garden you can always send it to me. :) I have a ton of NOIDs. :) LOL

revclaus, It's a LA Hybrid. Has a very light fragrace too.

Ticker, I have quite a few NOID's myslf. Love them anyway. :-)

Southern, WI(Zone 5a)

I think if you start getting lilies, even if you label them with the best intentions, you'll have NOIDs because even the best supplier can mess up every now and again ;) It may not be often, but it can happen. Love those lilies just the same.

American Spirit is awesome!

My Triumphator is blooming today too! As you can tell, mine is next to the house too. This year I covered and uncovered it several times with leaves! lol

It was labeled "Coral Angel" Asiatic 6' Mid July

It is about 3' tall and has the pattern of "Coral Angel" but instead of a coral marking on white it is a yellow marking on white. I have emailed Buggy; she was good to help me on another one.

I have been out taking photos for the last week and hope to sort through and post them in the next couple of days.
