Summer Lilies 2008 Pt. 5

Fox River Valley Are, WI(Zone 5a)

My wife really likes 'Eric'. The rabbits helped it to multiply by chewing the tops off last year. This was planted in fall of 06 as one bulb! Now there is 10+ blooming stalks.

Which one is 'Eric', the white ones or the maroon ones? My hubby saw the dark ones and wanted to know what they were. They're both beautiful!

'Eric' is the dark red lily.

'Maywood' looks perfect in your garden, Moby. I don't remember that lime green in it from mine last year. Really stately ;)

Kalama, WA(Zone 8b)

Oh, I really like that 'Eric' too. My son's name is Eric, I'll have to watch for that one.

Here's 'Butter Pixie'

Andrew, those pard trumpets are incredible! Love those rich colors, especially that single you got a shot of!

jmorth, Queen Kong is awesome!

Southern, WI(Zone 5a)

Pardomania? Pard-stock? LOL! Good job on these, intercessor. I'm glad to see that the pink/red edge has carried through with the offspring of the originals!

Just a warning: don't try setting seed on these yet; the bulbs need to grow another year. OK to use the pollen on other grown up trumpets though.

jmorth, I love that shot of Touching...that is much prettier than the pics used in catalogs and online. I have always passed on it, but I would buy it from th pic!

Finally.....I have Triumphator!

Been trying to get this bulb for years and this time it really is Triumphator from Faraway Flowers.

Elodie
thunk!
just about done me in
looking at the beauty of it

I have had several doubles and WAS NOT impressed, after seeing this one in person, well...............you know the rest of the story!

Southern, WI(Zone 5a)

'Triumphator' is a worthy garden lily isn't it? Here it multiplies nicely, just don't place it too close to the house, it's one of those that gets really eager in early spring to its detriment. A fragrant beauty...just look at those first year stems from Faraway Flowers ;)

Saint Bonifacius, MN(Zone 4a)

Pardomania - a kaleidoscope of color!

Wait, that was the theme for our lily show last year . . .

Lincoln, NE(Zone 5b)

I may have to resort to growing lilies in pots. there are just too many beauties and not enough room.

American Heritage always puts on a show. Desert Song is about finished below it.
