Mmmm---all sound good---just soup & sandwiches here tonight---we went out for lunch & had--soup & sandwiches---we're in a rut! My DIL & her father made blueberry wine, but it hasn't aged enough yet---I'll tell them about the blueberry beer.
What's for dinner? Pt 2
Forgot about DS's orchestra concert tonight so had to throw together chopped hot dogs in macaroni and cheese. Tomorrow night will be better.
thx again WC - just had a cuban for lunch - great!! pickles were the first i opened from canning this year and are great - crispier than last years batch - think i'll have another for dinner!
pork chaps & green beans. Trying new veg chips to see if they have any taste. Separate desserts because of the sugar content.
You're welcome wha, enjoy!!
(Fried chicken tonight with french fries and onion rings, salad on the side.)
Pasta here. Sauce with turkey bacon. Yumm!
I just had a bagel with cream cheese, and tea. I spent the last two days cleaning and I don't feel like doing dishes.
I'm no wine expert but one wine stands out to me that I would go out of my way to buy again.
Ferrari Carano 97 Merlot. My husband and I had it at the Cafe Escadrille one night and loved it. I found it at a liquor store in Chelmsford for half of what we had paid for it at the restaurant, so we enjoyed a few bottles after as well. Other wise I buy the box wine because you just can't beat the price! Plus it stays good for so long and I usually end up dumping half bottles down the drain.
Veuve Clicquot for New Year's - I don't care how much it costs! (lol!)
The Chilean wines are very good, (the red ones) with beef and within $12-14.
Shiraz good for beef too.
Whites I usually go for a Californian, (typically light bodied), I alternate within Simi & Berringer Chardonnays. Sometimes I'll try a French.
Merlots - nothing beats an Australian merlot (IMO) - not cheap ~$22.
pinot grigio; more acidic, better with fish/ lamb/ pasta.
Like the Chilean wines for many years. S. African too.
I tried S. African, not sure if I like them or not yet... 'the jury's still out'. I'll have to try a few more bottles to make sure! (lol)
I like Excelsior cabernet.
Chicken and olives over bow tie pasta
Ooh - sounds nice.
south african wine is very good wc
.. have to check more of them out, (I know, I know, it's a burden, but I'll bravely undertake the challenge! hee hee! ☺)
pork chops, green beans & veggie chips. Not as salty as most potato chip I see.
spaghetti with homemade meat sauce and green salad
Went out with girlfriends last night & I ordered what I thought was a personal sized pizza--- it was huge----took most of it home& it will feed us tonight---bacon, onions, & artichokes.

Leftover chicken soup.
$4.00 worth of chicken fed us for 3 days...2 lunches and 3 dinners.
That's good! I can only get 2 dinners out of one chicken and it costs me more than 4 bucks!
Leftover roast beef today with white rice & salad.
Ugh. I don't want to think about dinner tonight!
Breafast for dinner? Must be great minds think alike today Jada:)
Had an Ultimate Omelette @ Denny's tonight.

Salad with manderin oranges, cranberries, almonds, cashews and Newman's Own walnut cranberry dressing. Oatmeal cookies and chai tea for dessert.

Ronnie, Dieting before having to eat all those Christmas cookies??
Been running today, just smoked sausage and kraut. Ric
There's a coffeeshop near me that has the best Chai tea I've ever tasted. I found out it was instant and you can order it online. I can't remember the name of it right now though!
The seven eleven here used to have Chai in one of their machines. It was delish! Havent found one in the supermarket that I like.
Chicken casserole layered with stuffing, mashed taters, gravy, cranberry sauce, and topped with crumbled cornbread then baked. Yummy!!!
YUMMMMM.
