2009 Lily Blooms #9-A Big Thank you

Lincoln, NE(Zone 5b)

Not much new blooming here. Scheherazade has certainly formed a nice sized clump in just a few years.

That sure looks nice lincolnitess! I had Scheherazade at the old house. I couldn't locate the bulb when we moved so I had to leave it!!

To further hail the virtues of "Pardstock", the ensuing pics are some results of her trumpet crosses from seed she gave out in fall of 2006.

This is the group of seedlings from her trumpet cross of CT2-5 x CT3-24, two purples from Lilyseeds.com

Just want to let Pard know that I am VERY pleased. And give her the kudos that she deserves!

I should say!
Excellent crosses, and you've done a fantastic job of growing them out, Lefty.

Southern, WI(Zone 5a)

Lefty, pard does great work, doesn't she? Your trumpets are beautiful! I especially love the lightest one. It's awesome the kind of trumpets you can get out of seed that you rarely see in commerce. I've been very trumpet inspired this year, so the pollen has been flying around a bit more than usual.

Thank you for sharing your pictures Lefty. I really enjoyed them.

Lovely Schez. blooms! It's a wonderful lily and amazingly strong to hold the heavy blooms.

Jmorth and Magnolialover -- what a treat for the eyes this morning. I just can't imagine having so many different lilies. Splendid.

Jmorth, your Scheherezade looks a lot different than mine. And mine have started opening this very morning, so I can go have a closer look right now...

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

I was thinking the same thing wicker, jmorth's 'Scheherezade' looks like my 'Black Beauty'.

I forgot to mention what beautiful clumps shots are here today! I have never seen so many beautiful Trumpets!!

Spectacular lilies, guys!! But from this group I would expect nothing less. :) Keep them coming, please! :)

Willamette Valley, OR(Zone 8a)

Lefty-- you did a wonderful job growing out those seeds! In particular I really like that melon with pink edge cross. It looks like I need to do more crosses with that one. But they are all pretty. I just want to thank thank you and everyone else who grows out my seeds.

Mags-- are your pots of OT mix seeds from my batch that I, er, you know, dumped all over my carpet and meticulously picked up one by one? Don't remember if I sent you some of that bunch. Anyway, I got about 30% germination from that group.

Putnam County, IN(Zone 5b)

Oh that Luxurious is just beautiful!! I must have missed it before....

Agawam, MA(Zone 6a)

Magnificent flowers everyone! My pictures for today.
