I have come to the conclusion that Silk Road can never look bad.

With baptisia australis.

With grasses.

Baby ones, with alliums.

It was one of the last lillies I acquired, because I wasn't sure I liked it. I now grow it in three places. It's a knockout (Neal, watch out!!!)

Donna you are right. 'Silk Road' looks great everywhere, with anything. An established 'Silk Road' graces a garden like very few others. It's that stately structure, strong stem and the amazing way it makes everything around it look better. Nice shots.

Tracey I think you've nailed the reasons why. It also comes through with flying colors, regardless of conditions. It's almost embarassing that something that requires zero fussing looks so wonderful.
