Siberians and species part 3

Hannibal, NY(Zone 6a)

So how did your show go, Booj? Was it a competition, and if so did you win anything? Buy anything new and exciting?

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

spill your beans

Shelburne Falls, MA(Zone 5a)

I got two blue ribbons for a white ensata and La Mouette. I bought a JI called Dewa Banri (Ishie from Kamo) (See pic). I had lunch with Marty and Jan. There was a wonderful ikebana demo that I really enjoyed.

We cleaned up and everyone took irises home including this happy visitor.

When I got home there were hot air balloons touring my neighborhood.

This is the form that I like for irises; the reason I like 3 falls and small ones.

I'm jealous Kathy! I always wanted to meet Marty and Jan (they gave me I. versicolor Murrayana). I didn't know Andrew was into breeding....and JI to boot. How nice!

Shelburne Falls, MA(Zone 5a)

Todd, I love lots of Andrew's sibs, species hybrids, and JIs. He's been hybridizing since his early teens. I just got about 5 more of his seedlings with his permission. We all figure he can always get them back from me. Marty and Jan are the best! I adore them and feel very lucky to be around them as much as I am.

Love Andrews seedling!

JI Sugar Dome. A new one from Ensata. Tall and super strong.

Another new intro from Ensata Kimono Silk, also tall and strong.

Side view of Kimono Silk where I didn't cut the top off. These are from Ensata's new sky blue breeding. Too bad Boojum doesn't like the six falls.

Hey, they are on my wishlist anyway!!
I even bid on them at an auction last year.
So I went to Debby's garden (Andrew's field today) today and got 2 seedlings, one mystery, Ton Ton Bana, and Japanese Pinwheel. Here's a seedling.

Todd, love Belle Royale!

Hannibal, NY(Zone 6a)

I knew that they were on your list, LOL. How high did they go for at the auction? Pretty high?

Ton Ton Bana is cool.

Shelburne Falls, MA(Zone 5a)

You were teasing? Naughty girl!
They went for more than the website price!!

Cocoa Beach, FL(Zone 10a)

Darling at pond side
Love that Plum Point, perfectly named.
Mystery is beautiful, too.

Rose Queen looks great by a pond. I don't know anyone growing iris pond side. Around here they are in our small fields or gardens.

Shelburne Falls, MA(Zone 5a)

Andrew's field yesterday. These were the ones that were transplanted recently Debby keeps telling me. She knows I am very reluctant to transplant every 3 years. So my JIs are short. Limited resources. Too old for this! I can barely keep up with the 3+ acres by myself.

Here's a pseudata I want someday. I think she called it First Act. Lovely, no?
