Great offer, Leightonhill! If you send me a teleport machine (is that what it's called?), so I can see them every day and take care of them, I'd be happy to plant the lilies I can't fit in my yard, in yours.
2009 Blooms #5
Thanks Moby. Its the only tall perennial campanula that returns for me.
Very nice Donna. :) But I would have expected nothing less from you. :)
Nice trio there Donna. What a nice planting combo.
It's called shoving all the plants you love into the smallest possible space so you can have more of them!!!!!
Thanks.
Donna
Bev,
I have noticed the resemblance! And I consider it a great compliment.
Diann and Tracey, I was blown away by the great spaces you have to garden in and the fabulous use you've made of them. I'm quite envious! Fortunately, you are two of the nicest people in the world, so it tempers my envy.
Donna
Thanks Donna, you are such a sweetheart. :) No wonder that cute garden boy of yours keeps hanging around. :) LOL
Ooooh, I like those. Very nice. Especially that Coral Reef and the trumpet. :) Nice. :)
WHOO - what is the trumpet in another point of view? Amethyst Temple or Palace Purple or something else?
Yes, dear Bev. Love to pack it in.
I put cute garden boy to work pruning the crabapples and cherry. With all the rain and the new growth we were advised to take them in a bit. He looks really cute at the top of a ladder, doing all that manly stuff.
Beautiful everyone, I'm enjoying the show. So many lilies, so little money. ;-)
Tracey, Chippendale is very pretty, and I love the North Hybrids.
Pink Panther - perfect name!
And Lincolness, I need my sunglasses for Firetruck!
Rosemary North? Source please ;*)
Lovely blooms folks. I do like that Pink Panther, Sue. Mags, Donna is right, Chippendale is nice. :) Lincolness Starburst is always one of my favorites. :)
I see that a deer was out and nipped off the heads of my Tiger Babies. They did leave on stalk unharmed... They did the same to oriental in the same bed. I'm going to have to have a talk with that doe.
Can you get a deer pest permit.
Throw milorganite around? It's keeping the rabbits off my roses and lilies.
By the way, did you see the thread on Garden Pests and Disease? Check out this image.

Isn't that unbelievable?
Looks just like my house. And I wish I was kidding.
OMG!!!!!!
Yeah we have a herd of at least 13. I found rotation of sprays helpful. In fact, I even think this new organic weedkiller that smells awesome to me, keeps them away. It's called Avenger another product like it is called Burn Out 2. It's clove and citrus. kind of makes you want to spray it all over it smells that good ;), but don't, because unlike my luck with round up, this stuff even kills garlic mustard. yeehah!
I've been busy lately. Here's my only blooms right now, Crimson Pixie. Stones (Scheepers was supposed to send Gran Paradiso, bummer) are fading and three were virused. Maybe it's time to go to a new supplier, but their prices are good.
Lincolnitis, I grew Samur last year. Big is right!!
newyorkrita, I've got buds on my Jacqueline. It's the first year for them. The picture with the roses is gorgeous! Wish I had some of those roses to go with my Jacquelines!!
Burn Out 2 kills garlic mustard?!!! My neighbor has a whole field of that stuff and refuses to do anything about it, so I may have to, as it invades my yard. She likes "natural." What's in it besides clove and citrus - anything harmful to wildlife?
