Also ...Read Moremake sure you give it space, given time it will get quite full and round. Fun to watch the young leaves mature and split. Very tough plant. Mine has lived in a pot on my apartment balcony and moved several times before we bought a house and stuck it in the ground at the base of some trees. Must be 10 years old by now with very low maintenance.

The leaves of this variety have the distinctive form of 'Contorta' and are variegated with the distinctive green and white stripes on either side, typical of the 'Albo-variegata' varieties. It can be grown outdoors in at least zones 10a through 11. Like most Monstera spp. and varieties, it is a vining type. It can also be grown indoors or in the conservatory.
