When this plant was ID'd, thistlesifter noted "the coaractata tubercles line up in predominately vertical columns whereas the forms of reinwardtii I'm familiar with have predominately horizontal tubercle alignment." The arrangement of tubercle is distinct on this compacted plant with interesting structure. Try it! You'll like it!

The leaves are usually dark green and have bands of white spots; however, they turn purplish-red or a burgandy in full sun. This plant grows up to 6 inches high and 15 inches wide.
