Of course, I also have a mint garden, so my idea of invasive is probably different from other people's idea. Nevertheless, it has not spread quite as much as some of my other mints. It does grow well in a container, too. It is edible and also has medicinal properties. I, however, love it for its fragrance, which is so different from my other mints.

Their very shiny looking, almost metalic. It likes to spread so be careful where you put it. Plus it smells awesome.
