Disocactus Species, Pond Lily Cactus

Its in a 6" pot to give you idea of size.

2021: Its fine. Filling an 8" pot. I think its a little more sensitive to direct sun than most Epiphyllum cactus. It so far only blooms once a year,but later that could change. We will see.

Found this hanging plant without a tag in a local gardening store. Leaves are flat like a very large leafed Christmas cactus. Very show...Read Morey in bloom. Origin: Southern Mexico.

According to the websiteTropical Treasures:
"This species is spineless, has comparatively closed, soft pink flowers, and has flattened two-sided bladelike stems. It has scales on the flower stems, much like E. crenatum.

Large plants need to be grown in a hanging basket, even though the foliage will initially stick upright. When it bears flowers there are so many of them that they pull the foliage down."
