the first week was a little bit of a scare, when it wilted a couple of times because of too little water. I now, water it till it almost drowns once every two days. I repotted it on a clay pot and now im reaping the rewards :)
i personally have a thing about pruning plants. but with spearmint... i think it likes it. I usually take off around 3 inches off the top and the remaining stems are now sprouting new leaves!!!

Pest wise, i see some small shinny flies they like perching on the leaves. Thinking its minty they would deter them but it doesnt. Once i saw a caterpillar as well. And this weird tunneling stuff on the leaves. Like sumthing is sucking the juices off the leaves from the inside. I snip them off and burn them.

I use it for afternoon tea. Gives that nice cooling minty tingles from mouth to the throat :) And when i got an upset stomach i got a few and made a strong cup of tea my tummy felt really nice after :)

Now, the outer branches are bending down it looks like its trying to reach the soil below its pot. hmmm naughty naughty little thing. i think its getting ready for an invasion!
