However after that my sprinkler system seems to have given it enough moisture .. colorization through out the seasons here brings a lot of interest to the leaves , especially in Autumn. It is a sturdy tree and tolerates a lot of sun.

I was very impressed with the 'Wolff' variety. All 3 are planted in full sun, and are on the same watering schedule. Both 'Bloodgoods' scorched before the summer was over (this was a particularly hot and dry one), however the 'Wolff' took it all in stride. The coloring is beautiful, and stays bright red all summer. Given the choice again, I would have only planted the 'Wolff' variety. Although I was skeptical at first, I must admit that, in my opinion, this variety truly is an improvement over the Bloodgood, as advertised.
