I had purchased a bulb loc...Read Moreally back in November that was supposed to be "Piquant", but obviously wasn't, & I had no idea what I had until I came upon your post & photo - which is EXACTLY what my Amaryllis - now in full bloom - looks like.
It IS absolutely gorgeous, sprouted almost immediately, & now has a nice medium-length stalk with 4 large double blooms lightly streaked on the top petals with red.
The first stem of my 'Nymph' amaryllis broke at the office over the weekend and the first couple of flowers were crushed. The second ste...Read Morem is now flowering and the flowers are very similar in coloring to 'Philadelphia' but are much bigger and with a rounder shape to the petals.
