Rambler Rose 'Lykkefund'

I have this wonderful thornless rambler planted along with the far more popular and well known thornless rose, Zephirine Drouhin. I've ...Read Morehad them for ten years, and they are more beautiful every year! The Z.D. blooms first, then they both are in bloom for a couple of weeks at the same time. Since they grow together, it appears that the rose has two colors...the hot pink of the Z.D., and the white of the Lykkefund...then the Lykkefund puts on her eye-catching show for another couple of weeks. I have them planted where they get afternoon shade. They are both extremely healthy and also wonderfully fragrant. Of course it's a terrific bonus that they are both thornless! Their best show is in May, but sometimes there is another little flush of bloom in autumn.
