After blooming profusely, they grow heavy green foliage that is georgeous throughout the summer. I have to keep them heavily water in the summer - North Texas. These voilets are easy to root, and grow near the top of the soil. So, just gently pull one up and stick it in some wet soil, water good for a week, and you have a new plant! Mine were planted before I owned my home, but came back after being neglected. They will take over, so don't plant them in with other plants - they will choke them out.
