I water it when I remember - it...Read More gets thoroughly dry between waterings - and I've never fertilised it in the three years I've had it, though I probably will this year. Every year it puts on new leaves (and flowers, but I cut those off - they're insignificant). It gets no direct sun and the room it is in gets morning sun only.
One thing I've noticed is that every time I water it, the leaves 'cry' - they drip water. At first I wondered whether I was overwatering it, but it seems to drip even with only a light watering. Something to look out for if you've got it on a wooden surface, as the drips can mark the wood.
