I’ve seen large old ones growing in Seattle with no reversion.
It’s frustrating to see that this plant has been reported as reverting when this information seems to be repeated over and over from a singular source with no evidence.
I’ve seen no signs of reversion on these and I have lots of variegated plants I have to fuss over because they do revert. This is not one of those plants.
I’d highly recommend this plant for filtered to mostly shade. It’s been a surprise for me at just how sturdy and robust these plants have grown for me. I’ve also seen reports that they have exacting needs to grow successfully. While I haven’t grown them in full sun, nor wet soil, they’ve adapted quite well to soils on the drier side in shade. Not very dry soil which I haven’t attempted it in.
