We enjoyed our first tomatoes in late June which was later than our other cherry tomatoes. The plant wasn't as prolific as past and present tomatoes but the taste and size made up for it. It grew in my raised bed to about 4 feet. In September, when I pulled my other cherry tomatoes up due to wilt, this tomato started setting blooms. Everyone I share these tomatoes with enjoy their sweet taste. I pulled up our plant today, November 19, due to a hard freeze expected tonight. There are 4 clusters of almost ripe tomatoes and several smaller clusters. I have had no problem with disease, but have had to water about twice a week. I definitely will plant these again.

They are very pro...Read Morelific, which is the best I can say about them, but they are bland and tasteless, split easily, though we have had a banner year with the right amount of rain and no drought between rains. Also, in more than 50 years (since I was a kid on the farm) of growing tomatoes, my favorite food of all, I have never had a tomato that falls off the stems before they are fully ripe, and it is impossible to pick ripe ones without knocking off the nearby unripe ones. I am sorely disappointed in these tomatoes.

My wife hates fresh tomatoes but this one she likes. Must be the 9.5% sugar content. Fresh salsa with half sugary is superb. Will plant again next year even though I only grow heirlooms.

It is a larger cherry tomato. It was a heavy producer at first but now seems to be succumbing to some type of wilt disease. I could not find any information on how resistent this variety is but it definitely not as resistent as Golden Gem. We have been having an extreme heat wave which has stressed my plants considerable but Sugary is just not handling it as well as the other.

There is a little more cracking than the Santa variety I used to grow but can’t find anymore but I’m not the best at picking tomatoes when they’re most prone to cracking. This is listed as ‘semi-determinate’ by Tomato Growers Supply Co. and I did notice they stop producing before frost so I will stagger planting times a bit with this type this year.
