Thunberg Spirea, Thunberg's Meadowsweet 'Mt. Fuji'

This is an awesome small shrub with elongated leaves with white stripes. It covers itself in tiny white flowers in early spring. It's r...Read Moreounded, but not particularly formal. It's a little twiggy, but that matches fine with the thin leaves and allows the white flowers to turn the entire shrub into a powderpuff. So far, ours have required no trimming. A happy, easy-going standout in the mixed perennial border. We love this one so much, we had to get four more last fall.

Here we are 3 years later. This year I did tidy up our bushes just a smidge, particularly the oldest one in the photographs, which is now 4' x 4'. No problems with reverting branches. No diseases or pests. Still a winner!
