If you live in the humid southeastern US and want a low-maintenance rose, this is the one for you. I've never seen any pests do any real damage to it, and it never gets diseases. The fragrance is heavenly, and the leaves are much prettier than most other roses. I don't even mind the wicked thorns because when I trim it back, I use them to keep the dog and kitties out of my flower bed, and it works. Seriously, if you can kill this rose, you are not meant to grow roses!

The bushes are not tall (around 3 ft) but the canes are longer and tend to cascade.
