As the weather warms, the pink turns white, and the foliage is topped by masses of large, single white blooms, star-shaped and very abundant. In autumn, the foliage turns rich shades of orange and red.
'Summer Fun' is far more burn-resistant than most Cornus kousa cultivars, needing less shade to keep its variegation in place and its foliage fresh and healthy. Its habit is naturally vase-shaped, making it a good choice for a small specimen planting or container choice. Expect it to reach just 8 feet high and 4 feet wide within 10 years. Very choice. Zones 5-8.
