My favourite part of horticulture deals with naturalistic, native plant landscapes, so I am not passionate anymore for Eurasian ornamental plants; however, I could not pass by this opportunity of taking a photo of this very uncommon species planted in landscapes for the purpose of passing on knowledge. It is a pretty shrub. A few mail order nurseries or a few larger, diverse conventional nurseries sell some. It grows best in good quality, moist well-drained soils with a pH range of 6 to 7.5.
