probably the most common Furcraea in cultivation around the world, but possibly surpassed by F foetida mediopicta in the US... makes a st...Read Moreriking landscape statement- huge agave-looking plant, sometimes with a trunk up to 5' tall, usually solitary, sometimes with offsets, long (up to 5-6'), varigated leaves lined with sharp, hooked teeth, ending in a terminal spine (sharp but not very strong). Can handle moist climates as well as desert climates. Not too frost tolerant, but mine has never had a problem even with temps down into the mid 20s overnight. Not a good plant for walkways as it will grab you with its hooks. Fast grower. Flowers up to 9' tall and then covered with bulbils (and then whole thing dies).
