We had a really mild winter here in south Louisiana - it only got below 32 degrees twice this last winter. I wasn't expecting much then this year since I had heard that raspberries require chill hours to flower and fruit. These Caroline raspberries began growing like crazy this spring and started producing berries in late April. Here it is July, very hot, and they are still thriving and covered with berries!! The berries are delicious! They get sun until around noon, and I irrigate them daily and fertilize with 24-8-16. Growing in raised beds with lots of peat.
