Be warned: Marilyn Monroe has GIANT prickles. They're the biggest ones of any rose in my garden. They're almost like sharks teeth. Every time prune or even do any snipping for bouquets I end up getting "bitten".

Starts out light peach and fades to blushed cream. Fabulous - like her namesake. We have very hot summers and the blooms hold up and look good until they have practically dried on the stem. Our water is awful and she shrugs it off and keeps blooming. Highly recommend this rose.

Her...Read More petals have unusually heavy substance, but aren't so numerous she has trouble opening. They have an unusual sheen that glistens softly in the sun. Like the lady herself, she's got charisma. Look out for those thorns, though. I've seldom seen a rose with so many big, wicked ones. You pay for those fabulous blooms come pruning time. I would absolutely love this rose if not for that.

It's a nice enough rose, but in my experience it seems rather prone to blackspot.
