The bloom is bright red, very red, and colorfast. There is only slight fragrance with this rose. The bloom opens quickly, so if you use this rose as a cut flower, you will be using fully-opened roses, not half-opened roses as many people prefer. The stems are too short for standard rose bouquets, but can be used in smaller vases that hold short-stemmed flowers.
In most years this rose blooms well into the fall. This is important in NE Wisconsin, where only a few inches of the plant survives the winter and so the plant is most attractive in the fall. This rose is one of the most attractive plants in my garden at the end of September.
An AARS Award winning rose that blooms through the season.
The cultivar name is 'KORbeteilich'. "Crimson Bouquet" is a proprietary trademark.
